Real-time monitoring dashboard for CFRP cure cycle
Overview
A digital twin dashboard for aerospace autoclave curing. Monitors 6 thermocouple
zones, pressure, and vacuum across a 300-minute CFRP cure cycle. Threshold-based
alerting plus Isolation Forest ML anomaly detection. Four failure scenarios — drag
a time slider to watch alerts appear in real-time.
The Dashboard

Complete cure cycle — 6 thermocouple zones tracked within aerospace limits
across 300 minutes. Ramp to 180°C, 120-minute hold at 7 bar, controlled
cool-down. Green banner: all parameters within limits.
What It Does
🌡️ 6-Zone Temperature Monitoring | Six thermocouples tracked independently with per-zone offsets and noise. Target line at 180°C, max limit at 195°C. TC spread monitored for uniformity. |
⚠️ Threshold-Based Alerting | Real-time checks against aerospace limits: TC max/min, thermocouple spread (>8°C), pressure bounds, vacuum leak threshold (>300 mbar), heating rate limits. |
🤖 ML Anomaly Detection | Isolation Forest trained on 9 sensor features per timestep. Catches subtle patterns that fixed thresholds miss. Decision boundary visualized with red X markers. |
🔄 4 Anomaly Scenarios | Thermocouple drift, pressure leak, heater failure, vacuum bag leak — each injected at specific times to test detection capabilities. |
⏱️ Cure Cycle Replay | Time slider from minute 0 to 299. Drag to replay the cycle and watch KPIs, charts, and alerts update live. Phase indicator shows Ramp Up → Hold → Cool Down. |
📊 Multi-Chart Dashboard | Temperature profile, pressure chart, vacuum chart, temperature zone heatmap, ML anomaly score plot, and alert log table — all in one view. |
Anomaly: Heater Zone Failure

Zone 2 heater dies at minute 50. TC2 drops 25°C below the pack. By minute 81,
thermocouple spread reaches 29.4°C — far exceeding the 8.0°C limit. In production,
this means one region of the part is under-curing, risking porosity and delamination.
Anomaly: Thermocouple Drift

TC3 drifts upward starting at minute 100 — only 15°C over 200 minutes. Subtle
enough to miss on a busy factory floor, but the dashboard catches it the moment
spread crosses 8.0°C. A drifting sensor can mask actual temperature, leading to
under-cure.
Anomaly: Vacuum Bag Leak

Vacuum rises from 150 mbar baseline past the 300 mbar critical threshold. KPI
card flips from green "OK" to red "LEAK!" instantly. Loss of vacuum means reduced
compaction, trapped volatiles, and porosity in the cured laminate.
Anomaly: Pressure Leak

Pressure drops gradually from 7 bar starting at minute 60. By minute 219,
it's at 4.72 bar. Hasn't crossed a hard threshold yet — but the Isolation Forest
flags the anomalous trend. Shows why combining rule-based and ML detection gives
better coverage than either alone.
